remember
- To conform with the guidelines given by the site manager and operate with care and diligence in order to ensure safe operation.
- To make sure that the requirements set by the authorities for the grinding machines are met and that the safe operating use of the grinding wheels is known and applied.
- To run the machine at operating speed for at least one minute (with guard in place) before grinding.
- To use the right equipment and machines. They should be maintained and checked regularly, and any substandard conditions should be corrected before use, for safety and efficiency.
- To inspect, handle and store wheels in a careful manner. Store wheels in a dry and cool place.
- To check maximum wheel operating speed against rated speed of equipment.
- Never to over-speed wheels.
- To start machine with safety guard in place.
- To select the right wheel for the job.
